Since than I got the "Travel Virus". 1977: I started repairing small Motorcycles and learned this Job by doing. 1979: Since this year I knew: Stuntman, Teacher for Sports, or Motorcycle Mechanic is my Future. 1980: The desire to be a Motorcyle Mechanic is now reality. I' am now an apprentice for that profession. 1983: I traveled with my Friends all around Europe with the Motorcycles. 1986: I finished the apprenticeship as one of the best and traveled to North America. On this 4 Month Trip I covered more than 18.000 km with my Car. 1988: I reached the highest Level of my Profession, Motorcycle Mechanic Master in the Age of 23. 1989: One year later I founded Gerry' s Motorcycle Shop and Gerry' s Fun- Bike- Rental. 1990: Motorcyle-Tours and Safety Courses are one of the things I organized for my Customers. 1994/95: I built a new Building for the Motorcycle Shop in the Industrial Area in Konstanz. 1995: I started with a new Business, the Gerry`s Adventure Tours. Motorcycle riding combined with Paragliding, Trekking and Mountain Biking. 1996: A special year. I bought a Pick Up Truck in Vancouver and drove alone all the Way down to Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). In only 50 days along the legendary Panamericana Highway over 24.000 km. 1997: I helped an Goverment Institution to teach and proof Mechanics and later Mechanic Masters. 1998: I opened a Marketing- and PR-Office. Started to write an working as a free lance Journalist. 1999: Concept, Development and Realisation of a very special Motorcycle: a V4 Dirt Bike. 2000: With a self-made motorcycle (4 Cylinder, 120 Hp) I passed the Black Continent, from Capetownt to Alexandria. 18.000 km in 48 Days. 2001: In this year I made my second Guinness World Record. With a Truck around the northern Part of the Mediterranean. 13.000 km in only 41 Days. 2002: To surround the Mediterranean with a KYMCO Scooter I needed only 38 Days (14.500 km). 2003: Adventure Northcape: A real cool journey! With a little KYMCO 150ccm Quad over Russia to Finnland and Norway to the Cape. Now I know how minus 40 degrees feel on a Quad. 2004: Adventure Australia: with the 125 DERBI Enduro all around Australia. 12.850 km in only 18 Days. 2005: Adventure Europe: 13500 Kilometer around Europe on a 250 KYMCO Quad, visiting 23 Capital Cities. 2006: Adventure Asia: From Singapur (South East Asia) to Germany with a "Wunderlich BMW R 1200 GS". From the Summer in Asia to the Winter in Germany. 2007: With the latest KYMCO MXU 500 Quad and a Paramotor around the southern Part of Europe to Afrika (Morocco) and back to Germany. Over 14500 Kilometer on the Road. Right now I'm preparing for my next challenge "Adventure New Zealand". Starting on December 9th, I will surround the two Main Islands on a Quad with a Trailer. It will be the "Sportiest Journey of the World", as I will practice 40 different kinds of sport on the route.
